Vanessa Ray has appeared on the screen and in movies such as Devil's Due. She started out as an actress, playing small roles and as guest actors in theatre productions as well as TV shows. As the World Changes was her first big role that she had in her acting career. The show was about the lives of legal and medical professionals. In the following season, her character Jenny Griffith was featured in the thriller about legal issues Suits. The series revolved around Harvey Specter a lawyer and his assistant Mike dealing with legal issues. The show received critical acclaim and also received multiple prizes. The other shows she's known for is the crime thriller Blue Bloods. The series received mostly favorable reviewers. Ray has also appeared in several movies including the drama film Not Waving But Drowning where she played the lead role and in the musical comedy The Rumperbutts where she had an supporting part.
